Impeccable

We had a fantastic stay at St. Peter's Studio. Donna was an impeccable host - proactive, responsive, informative, helpful, friendly. The location is perfect for the local beaches and the full range of local eateries. Tate St. Ives is a short walk away, as is the Hepworth Museum & Gardens. The coast path is easily reached. Porthgwidden Beach - perfect for swimming - is a short walk away (but watch out for jelly fish before you go in). Porthmeor Beach - great for boogie boarding or surfing - is even closer. The house is comfortable and well-equipped. We recommend it highly, and plan to return.

Fantastic

Stunning

Donna is an excellent hostess and her place is stunning - a real home away from home. As a hostess she was responsive, communicative and it felt like it was important to her that my stay was thoroughly enjoyed. She pulled out all the stops with a welcome cake and personalised welcome card. She even checked in by message during the stay. As for the property, the location is outstanding, the house was lovely and as described. I cannot recommend this place enough and will be returning. Thank you Donna from myself and the family!

Beautiful

Beautiful little cottage right in the middle of everything, so all the beaches, restaurants, shops, art galleries, and museums are all close by. The property itself was well presented, the beds were comfortable, and we would definitely stay again.

Extra special

We had a fabulous Christmas week at St Peters studio. The additional festive touches (wreath, tree, lights) and treats made it extra special. A super comfy cottage to ride out some of the storms. The hot water outside shower was brilliant after being daft enough to participate in the Porthminster Boxing Day Dip. Many thanks, just brilliant!

Warm & cosy

A lovely house and perfect location in the heart of St Ives, such a short walk to the beach of harbour front and shops. Hot outside shower was a real hit after a cold dip in the sea or just to wash off the sand. The beds were very comfortable, and the living area was warm and cosy. The host was lovely too and couldn’t be more helpful.

Highly recommend

Donna’s place was wonderful for a family/ friend group of 6 adults and three children. The neighbourhood was great, immediate access to the beaches, harbour, and town center. Donna provided excellent local recommendations and went out of her way to supply thoughtful kid supplies, including toys and art. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, just like the pictures, very homely. Loved all the toiletries and the welcoming home baking left for us after a long journey was perfect. Location is perfect with everything on the doorstep. Little shop nearby for milk and the Loft restaurant a stone’s throw away was our go-to place.

Wonderful sanctuary

If you are looking for a fabulous rental that lives up to the photos and descriptions, look no further. It is situated close to restaurants, shops, and the beach, but we couldn’t hear a thing from this wonderful sanctuary. The beds are super comfy, and the linens are great. The bedrooms are spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Donna was very responsive to questions we had and left us some wonderful treats. We highly recommend this rental!

Fantastic

We had an amazing stay at Donna’s place. The living area is perfect for chilling out with lots of space and the beds were super comfy! Donna has kitted the place out to a very high standard with John Lewis linens, blankets, and towels as well as White Company toiletries. The location was fantastic – a 3 min walk from most restaurants, and we had beaches in a 2-5 min walk which we enjoyed daily! Donna herself was a very kind host who welcomed us in at very short notice. She was so helpful and got us into her place within the hour! We will be back for future stays.

Amazing

We arrived in St. Ives and stayed in this beautiful cottage which has left us with an amazing experience of this place. The location is perfect as everything is nearby, the beaches, shops, and eating places all were at a stone’s throw. The cottage welcomed us on the first day with delicious scones, clotted cream, and jam. The fresh bread was awesome. Overall, our stay was brilliant, and we are very happy to have stayed in St. Peters Cottage.

Beautiful

Cuddled in amongst other beautiful old things in St Ives. And next door, an amazing restaurant, and the oldest grocery store in St Ives. But they were both tucked around the corner and out of site and no sound pollution. The place was pretty and airy and comfortable with plenty of room to sit around and chat on cozy furniture. The outside had a cozy little patio to sit in the nice weather and catch up. Just loved this place. You will too! 🙂 Just a short walk to at least 3 beaches and the food served in the restaurants…well, I didn’t lose weight despite the walking! Have fun here.

Phenomenal

Absolutely beautiful property – and very spacious. We were 8 and had plenty of room. The layout of rooms means plenty of privacy, especially the two downstairs rooms which feel like their own hotel rooms with ensuites. The seating area out front is so handy. Everything in the house was of high quality, the kitchen was well stocked and the grocery shop 20 meters away was so handy. Location was phenomenal – minutes to the beaches and shops. Donna was lovely and very responsive! Thanks so much, we look forward to being back 🙂

Wonderfully comfortable

Fabulous accommodation in the heart of the town. If you’re looking for something more comfortable, then this place is perfect. It has everything you need, a comfortable lounge with a tv and a few DVDs to watch on those rainy July evenings. The kitchen has almost everything you’d ever need and plenty of pans, dishes, crockery, and cutlery. We arrived to find a fresh loaf of locally baked bread, some Cornish tea and a cake laid out on the table with milk and butter in the fridge. Four wonderfully comfortable bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Location is everything, and from the studio you can walk to everything in St Ives in less than 10 minutes. The parking space at the Rugby Club is a bonus, it’s about a 10–15-minute walk back from the Rugby Club, but there are buses up and back during peak season that stop in front of the Tate (2 mins from the studio). Thoroughly recommend.

Gorgeous

We had an amazing stay at St Peter’s Studio with two children and a small dog! The cottage is gorgeous and even more spacious than it looks in the photos. It is in the perfect location for walks on the beach and local restaurants. Wonderful

Thank you for letting us stay at this wonderful place to celebrate my sister’s exams! We all had a lovely time! Would love to come here again. Just right

So welcoming

We loved staying at St Peters Studio – so welcoming to arrive to a table laid for tea with chocolate cake and lots of other foody treats – greatly appreciated, thank you. Loved all the special touches (Cream of Cornwall), bed linen and fluffy white towels, the furnishings, all very good. The shower outside was a treat for my daughter and friends who were brave enough to swim! Downstairs shower in ensuite was excellent and we loved the St Ives Co. soaps! We loved the location, perfect for Porthmeor and Porthgwidden, and the Norway Stores! Thank you!

Excellent facilities

We had a wonderful week in St Ives made ever more perfect by staying in St Peters Studio. What a lovely cottage with all the home from home comforts. Lovely cake ☺. Perfect location with easy walking distance to beaches and shops, cafes and bars. Would recommend Porthmeor Beach Café, especially a slice of toasted banana bread with coffee butter… yummy and excellent services. Also one Yellow Canary Café. Meg – our 21 month old black Labrador also loved it, wide and easy access to the beach and most places to eat – dog friendly. Thank you for a wonderful week and the weather was great too. Thank you Donna for letting us use your lovely house. Perfect location, excellent facilities. Meg the Dog says “woof and we will be back next year.”

We loved our week in St Ives, thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation. Our favourite places: Porthminster Beach Café, we were able to book a late evening slot. Spectacular setting, brilliant service and delicious food. The St Ives Bakery is brilliant for day to day treats as is the Cornish Deli. All of the beaches in the area are brilliant however the walk to and from Carbis Bay is fantastic and the beach itself great. Talay Thai was also a great hidden gem which we enjoyed, you can walk in and try and get a table or they provide takeaway.

Places we loved

Places we loved: Carbis Bay, Godrevy Lighthouse, Land’s End on Tuesday night for sunset and fireworks. The Source: Restaurant. Sharing plates. Mid to high range prices. Quality food. They only opened in March 2020 but are serving dinners with a lot of enthusiasm. The St Ives Bakery is fabulous; go early on ( it opens at 9:30) and avoid the long queues! ‘Beer and Bird’ does great click and collect chicken burgers if you can’t get a table. The pizzas at St Ives Pizza Company were also very good, door delivered and perfectly hot.
